Cloudy with a Chance of Animatics!

For our history of animation class, we had to pick a scene from a CG movie and reverse storyboard it. This is a great scene from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. I observed each shot from the scene and drew 91 storyboard panels, putting them together in a little animatic. The audio was taken from the movie and belongs to Sony Pictures Animation.

Grand Embrace

I've been experimenting more with the cutout style. I started this one a little while ago and haven't gotten the chance to truly finish it. I decided to post it with placeholder background, but I'll probably add another background when I have time later on.

Oh Macaw, You Guys!

For figure class, we have to study an animal. I picked the Hyacinth macaw because of it's awesome cartoony face. It's a bit adorable and creepy that it looks like it's smiling ALL THE TIME.

The Art of Music

I thought I would dedicate to some songs I wrote/composed. Hey, music is art, too, right?

Fish Sneak into Bearville

A little value study for my next perspective project. Note the bear puns used for store names. Hehehe.

Frank Laugherson

For our 3D design project, we had to come up with a character that was appealing and could tell a story with its mere appearance. We came up with three different ideas, and this is the one I chose.

After that, the next step was to build an armature out of wire and tinfoil.

The next step was to add the sculpey clay and shape the figure into the desired form.

They clay was baked in an oven and then painted.

The sculpture is coming along, but more details have to be added, along with an environment. Stay tuned for updates.
